Event Information

A full day workshop with sessions from all three of our piping instructors. This workshop is geared towards Beginner pipers that are eligible to compete in Grades 5. A practice chanter is required for these sessions. Each session is 1 hour 15 min in length with a 15 min break between sessions.
 
Session 1: Michael Grey
MY FIRST JIG: Learn the basics of jig playing: a little history, technical tips and a new tune.
 
Session 2: Ian K. MacDonald
EFFICIENT PRACTICE: Learn how to get the most out of your practice sessions to ensure proper development.
 
1 Hour Break
 
Session 3: Ian K. MacDonald
PLAYING ON THE BEAT & ACCENTS: Active session discussing the size and articulation of Gracenotes and the requirement of putting everything ON THE BEAT! 

Session 4: Bob Worrall
PREPARING FOR COMPETITION: Learn strategies to be ready for the boards and optimize your competition experience to ensure success.
