“The revitalization of music is a catalyst for the promotion of culture more generally, as well as language and Indigenous ways of living and knowing. When people started singing Indigenous songs, it ignites a fiery passion for all elements of culture. I believe song is a critical method of language and value learning and, by extension, a specifically Wolastoqiyik worldview. Psiw-te npomawsuwinumak kiluwaw yut! (All my people, this is for you!)”
- Jeremy Dutcher

The Re-sound program will bring together Indigenous artists working with images and songs taken from their community by ethnographers. In working with these images and songs, Bracken Hanuse-Corlett, Dean Hunt, and Jeremy Dutcher ‘resound’ the archive. This concert geared toward Indigenous youth (bringing youth from Tyendinaga). See Monsters is an audio-visual peace treaty formed by Heiltsuk DJ and visual artist Dean Hunt, and Wuikinuxv and Klahoose VJ and visual artist Bracken Hanuse Corlett. Experience a collection of east coast Wolastokquiyik songs recorded over 100 years ago combined with live performances by Wolastoq singer/composer Jeremy Dutcher.
