The Dan School is pleased to announce that for the 2020 Ensemble Spotlight Concert, the Queen's University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dan Tremblay, will combine with one of the most prestigious Wind Ensembles in the country: The Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces, directed by Capt. John Fullerton.
This Spotlight Concert is a rare opportunity for students to share the stage with professional musicians, playing both the rich classics and newer works from the Wind Ensemble repertoire, composed by Samuel Barber, John Barnes Chance, James Curnow, David Gillingham, Adam Gorb, John Mackey, Vincent Persichetti and Philip Sparke.
This concert includes bar service starting at 6:30 pm, followed by a reception in the lobby that provides an opportunity to meet with musicians after the performance.
The combined talents of these two ensembles is sure to fill the Isabel Bader Concert Hall with a glorious sound and is an evening not to be missed!
